Allison Anich
Allison discovered Pilates in 2005 in her search to find a low impact form of strength training to compliment her dance training. Four years later she decided to complete a rigorous 750 hour instructor certification program through master instructor Regan Hoerster at Village Pilates Studio in Oak Park, IL. She found that after 11 years of dance training Pilates was a natural transition and also discovered that she enjoys teaching. She credits her certification program for instilling the classical Pilates method into its instructors in order to keep its integrity, to be passed onto students of all ages and fitness backgrounds. She is devoted to empowering her clients to reach their full potential, coaching them through exercises that challenge them and as a result build their strength as well as their confidence. Her favorite moments are when a client finishes an exercise and says “I can’t believe I did that!”. Allison is continually educating herself in order to expand her training and bring more to her clients. Another element that Allison brings to her training sessions is Reiki, a Japanese healing technique that reduces physical and mental stress and promotes relaxtion. The Reiki helps to sooth tense, stiff or aching muscles which allows the client to relax and get the most out of a pilates session. Allison also loves yoga and is currently completing a certificate in Thai Yoga Massage.
